My husband and I stayed at the Thorp House Inn for two nights between Christmas and New Years, and we loved it. The inn is beautiful, just as pictured in the photos. The inn owner was very welcoming. We look forward to staying at the inn again next time we are in the area!

The Wren Cottage was perfect for our short Thanksgiving get away. The Inn and Cottages are conveniently located one block of the Main Street of Fish Creek therefore it was perfect to walk to the shops and restaurants in the area. We had all that we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner at the cottage. The fireplace was cozy and cable and WIFI were pleasant surprises. Stay here for your next trip to Fish Creek in Door County.

This is a lovely property in a great location and it is very quiet. However, in our room, we found the bed too high, too soft and too small. The gas fireplace dried out the room and left us stuffed up in the morning but we loved the jacuzzi. Among the few toiletries provided was an intensely fragranced soap that made my throat close. The bathroom was really tiny and offered nowhere to put your own toiletries. The breakfast was really disappointing. Like many properties in Door County, they're not cooking on site and the options were limited to hard boiled eggs, granola (very good), a little fruit, packaged yogurts, lousy drip coffee and a bready, premade breakfast sandwich which invariably had pesto on it; I dont know who can stomach pesto in the morning,. esp in combination with turkey, egg and cheese, or on a bagel with cream cheese and tomato. At this price point, I expected to be able to have a decent latte or cappucino and have some fresh fruit around for snacking.

Beautiful rooms, fabulous breakfast, great house with outstanding service. Not one thing I could say to improve our 3 day stay. The location is great. One block off Main Street so we could walk everywhere down town and to harbor. Great value.

This was my third stay at the cottages. Host welcoming as always and cottage delightful. Highly recommended! I did not use on-site dining, so cannot comment on that, but my guess based on the overall excellence of this B&B is that the food at the Inn is wonderful.

I loved the house. Very authentic and homey feel. Everyone was very nice. The only thing I would change is in the room we stayed in had skylights and in the morning the sun was so bright at 6am. Could not sleep in because it was so bright. That was discouraging in the mornings.

We have now stayed in the inn and in the cottages. I absolutely LOVE the inn - it's charming and just a great place to unwind and relax. The owner has down a fabulous job of keeping the natural beauty of the historic home while making sure everything is up to date. It is beautiful! This last time we stayed at the cottages because we had our 2 year old son with us. It was great! The cottage was small, but hence the name cottage! The bathroom in our cottage was really tiny with no tub so that was a bit of a challenge with the 2 year old, but my inlaws cottage had a tub so it worked out ok. We will definitely book here again!! It's a great location and great service!!
