Disappointing

2,2 sur mai 12, 2018

Everything was mostly acceptable. The grounds are beautifully maintained. My rooms was classic floral and antiques. I stayed in an outbuilding from the main house which was ideal for my small dog. But the bathroom was filthy! A used towel hanging on the door, used soap bar in the shower, dirt and grime in every corner and surface and worst yet; visible urine on the toilet. And it has very low lighting. I'm glad I couldn't see it in broad daylight. The proprietor had canceled me in his journal for some unknown reason so I was a surprise to him. I waited for about 20 minutes before he answered the door. And he is hard of hearing and possibly suffers from short term memory loss. I didn't mention anything to him. I mostly felt sorry for him. But I wouldn't return to their property.

I was so sorry to hear about your experience. I sincerely apologize that the room I sent you to was not prepared for a guest stay. I was mortified when I read your review. I had no idea that I had mistakenly put you into room that that had not been cleaned. I wish you had told me so I could have moved you to a room that was ready for guests. Please call me when you are back in the area and I will try to make it up to you true Widow Kips fashion. Sorry again, Bob

A wonderful getaway, comfort in true B&B style

4,8 sur juillet 31, 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Widow Kip's Country Inn. The innkeeper is personable and had great suggestions for us for dining and sights in the area. Our room was comfortable and quaint. I loved that it had a bookshelf, a much more fitting way to spend a few relaxing minutes than on my computer--which I could have, because the wifi was excellent. But it's worth unplugging at Widow Kip's, and enjoying the atmosphere and RELAXING!

Perfect Bed & Breakfast Experience

4,4 sur juillet 05, 2017

We were so delighted with our stay at Widow Kip's Country Inn. The property is lovely, and the house is just beautiful within. We stayed in the Wildflowers room. It was bright and had a bookshelf with good, readable books. A window air conditioner with a remote kept us comfortable. Bob, the Innkeeper, is a delight: friendly, caring, and welcoming, with good suggestions for the area including dining options and local wineries. We will return to Widow Kip's next time we visit the area. We only stayed for one night and wished we had more time. Simply enjoying the house and reading would be good--maybe we'll return in winter time to do just that and enjoy the fireplace!

Charming B & B

This is an adorable place to stay! Especially loved that they accepted pets in their cottages. Very quaint and quiet. Many wineries close by to visit.

We did not have a good experience

1,2 sur janvier 24, 2017

My husband, my 4 year old, and myself stayed in one of their cottages. Upon arrival there was a very musty smell and I could tell it was going to be a struggle for all three of us to stay in this tiny room. We spent the day at Bryce ski resort and came home later to get a shower and get ready for bed and found that the sink and the shower water spewed out a sulfur orange color. Granted after 15 seconds the water color gradually changed to clear, but still unacceptable for drinking. After getting a shower the sink refused to work at all. We finally all got settled into bed but since the highway is literally directly behind the cottage, all night we heard cars speeding into the night. Finally a little before 5am we could take no more and left without breakfast. We did contact the inn keeper and we were given a refund for half the night stay (we still paid $80, which was way too much money for the experience we had) and he was apologetic about the whole situation. The owners seem very nice but the accommodations were horrific.

Lovely stay in the Valley

5 sur novembre 29, 2016

Widow Kip's is run by some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. We have stayed there many times while visiting family in the area and are always impressed by the wonderful hospitality, cleanliness, delicious breakfasts and lovely decor. The inn is located on a charming country lane and has a pretty creek at the front of the property but it's easy access from I-81 makes it readily available for cross country travelers. We highly recommend it! John & Bonnie

Country Charm

5 sur novembre 08, 2016

This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast and it was fantastic! We enjoyed our night there and the breakfast was the most delicious that I have ever eaten. It was a French toast that tasted like it was gourmet made and I would like to go back simply for breakfast!
