Ryan was very attentive beginning from our evening arrival. He has a talent for cooking and he and Rebecca strive for local ingredients including VT maple syrup! Breakfasts that week included Oatmeal pancakes, quiche and bananas foster french toast were yummy! Yogurt and various granola were put out earlier for early risers. One morning we left before the usual 8 AM breakfast and Ryan made up some extra muffins for us. This may be the only B&B with a carport having solar battery chargers? We didn't need the charger but the carport came in handy for the continual snowfall! A free, short X-ctry trail is across the street. I even did a short snowshoe circuit around the property. Plenty of space in the Heritage room with clever hooks and nails to dry our ski clothes on. There are 3 rooms to hang out in including the dining room and living room that share a two sided fireplace. Plenty of books, wine glasses and even a TV room with spare bathroom. The innkeepers were available but left us to ourselves mostly which was fine.

Great place to stay. Run by a young energetic couple. Clean, warm, cozy. Our second time visiting and would definitely go back. Lovely old farmhouse set in a quaint Vermont town. Highly recommend.

A group of us stayed at the Wilder Farm Inn over New Years and had an exceptional experience. The rooms were very clean, which is most important to me. The beds were comfortable. Ryan and Rebecca went above and beyond to accommodate us throughout the duration of our stay.

Our room was beautiful and spacious. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. We loved sitting in front of the fire reading and playing games. We went snowshoeing just across the road on the Mad River Path.

Ryan and Rebecca were outstanding hosts for our New Year’s Eve ski trip. We were close to both mad river glen and sugarbush. Breakfast was quick and got us in he road early. THe beds were comfortable and the cleanliness exceeded my expectations. We hope to make it to the valley again soon and would stay at the wilder farm inn.

What a cozy Vermont winter experience, with friendly hosts Ryan and Rebecca, a roaring fire, ability to snowshoe the river trail just across the road, and yummy breakfasts each morning. Highly recommended.

Wilder Farm Inn was a great place to stay for the weekend. Ryan and Rebecca were helpful and friendly, and the room was exactly what we wanted. Breakfast was a little underwhelming, but everything else was very good.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Wilder Farm Inn. We chose the Heritage room. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. We had plenty of room to move around and for our luggage, etc. A private bath is assigned for each individual room. Although the bath is not attached to the room, it is a short walk down the hallway. The owners thought of everything by providing white terry cloth robes for their guests. Ryan prepared a wonderful 'farm to table' breakfast every morning. We enjoyed fresh eggs, greens, locally made yogurt, home made jam and delicious juice and coffee. The rooms do not have TVs in them, but there is one in the common area if you'd like to watch it. We did not miss having a TV at all! In fact, it was nice to just enjoy the quiet. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

This is such a charming old farmhouse in Vermont, and just what we envisioned for our first visit to the area. Luke and Linda are wonderful hosts, terrific cooks, and make you feel completely at home with them. Make sure to get their recommendations on scenic drives, places to eat and things to do - they know their stuff. And a special thank you to Luke for such an enjoyable lesson in his artistry! ~Chessie & Mark Little

This is my favorite place to stay when we are in Vermont. The food is great. The owners are very personable. It's like being at home only with a cook.

What an amazing way to spend our 30th wedding anniversary in Vermont. Wilder Farm Inn is in the heart of the beautiful fall foliage. Every view from the home was gorgeous. Luke and Linda were the epitomy of the perfect hosts. From the minute we arrived they made us feel right at home and a part of this community. Breakfast was outstanding and Luke is quite the chef not to mention the creative potter. We would definitely stay with Luke and Linda again and plan to return soon. Thanks for a great time! Luke and Linda were great. They really helped out when I brought my wife up for her 30th birthday. Breakfasts were very tasty and Luke gave us a lot of great trips for exploring the valley... from cheese to short hikes.... and a great bar too. We will be back in the summer for another stay.

We recently stayed for a long weekend at Wilder Farm Inn, and had really a wonderful experience. Our group of 7 (2 adults, 5 kids aged 9, 11, 14, 15 & 15) shared 2 rooms and everyone was comfortable. The beds were great, the rooms completely charming in decor, the breakfasts, whipped up to order, were delicious, and Luke and Linda are such lovely hosts, they make you feel like you're visiting family (and not just any family, but favorite family!). Linda even wrapped up strudel for us for the road when we were too full to finish it at breakfast. We all agreed that there is a return visit to Wilder Farm Inn in our future!

When I googled "pottery B&B Vermont" I could never have imagined that the first place I found would be so perfect for my goal to relax and bring out the artist within! I loved the Wilder Farm; from the healthy, organic and scrumptious breakfasts, afternoon snacks and gourmet tea, to the cozy, luxuriously decorated common areas that include comfy chairs, cable TV, WiFi and lots of great books to read... Oh and the bed was so comfortable! I have honestly never slept so well away from home. Luke's ceramics studio was truly my haven to get back in touch with my inspiration and start creating pottery again after 7 years. Luke is a really great teacher and gave me terrific insider's tips to getting my own studio on track and improving my technique. Luke introduced me into the local pottery community and I was lucky enough to attend a Potter's Potluck at Robert Compton's studio! In all, Luke was instrumental in giving a workshop that was set within beautiful countryside, surrounded with creativity (artisans shops and galleries in Waitsfield) and which allowed me as the student to drink it all in just create my own art while he gently guided my inspiration. I am grateful to Luke and Linda for creating such a wonderful retreat for the soul!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway from the city and couldn't have been happier. We were looking for a place near Sugarbush since I'm learning to ski this year and the drive to the mountain was less than 10 minutes, which was perfect! Linda and Luke were so helpful all weekend with suggestions about when to get to the mountain, where to eat (def go to the Alchemist, what a great place!), and just very informative about the general area. I definitely suggest trying Luke's pecan pancakes because they were so delicious, we were there a few weeks ago and are still talking about them. We really hope we make it back to Wilder Farm Inn next winter for another great experience. Thanks again Linda and Luke!

Just got back from an enchanting ski weekend at the Wilder Farm Inn. What an amazing stay our group of eight had! As if the warm, cozy country ambiance of the lovingly appointed historic inn itself and the charm and hospitality of the wonderful hosts was not enough, it was like being in a winter wonderland with the mountains, villages and just everything blanketed in snow. Beautiful landscapes and icicle formations everywhere! Light snow fell the entire time making it even more romantic and memorable. Everything inside and out picture postcard perfect! Skiing and snowmobiling, exploring the quaint and picturesque villages, beautifully decorated comfy rooms, hearty scrumptious breakfasts and a roaring fire all added up to the perfect winter retreat, just what you imagine a perfect winter weekend in Vermont would be. The hosts made sure we went to the best local places for dinner and our evening meals were awesome! This is the best Vermont getaway we have had and we will be back again soon, if not for skiing then for fall foliage. We stay at many B&B's and guest houses and needless to say, the Wilder Farm Inn is highly recommended !

While on a biking trip in VT, I spent a couple of days at the Inn. The room was spacious and comfortable with excellent food made from organic local ingredients. Luke and Linda were good hosts and Luke took a friend and me on a challenging 3-4 hour mountain bike ride on trails we would not have found on our own.

We first had an interest in the Wilder Farm Inn because of their use of organic products. Well, after staying there we just fell in love with the Inn Keepers, Luke and Linda and all they did to make our stay a very pleasant one. As strict vegetarians, we had a little concern about what our breakfast would be like. Luke had no problem creating these delicious breakfasts of smoothies, scrambled tofu with fresh veggies from their garden, blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup, and even soy milk to add to the organic coffee! Luke is an excellent cook. He also helped a lot in locating restaurants, shops, and hiking trails. The rooms are so beautifully decorated. Seems every time we visit we find that Linda has added some new touches to them. Comfy mattress toppers, organic soap, loads of currant magazines to read, and a night cap! Nice little touches make this a rare find at a fair price. We highly recommend the Wilder Farm Inn. Mark and Dorothy from Northeast PA

We’re so sorry to learn that you did not completely enjoy your stay at the Wilder Farm Inn. Our inn is very special to us and we try to make it just as special for our guests. In all fairness, we'd like to point out some misstated information. WEBSITE: Our pet policy on the BedandBreakfast.com website, not the Wilder Farm Inn website, needed to be updated, and we have since corrected it; thank you for bringing it to our attention. SOAPS: ALL bathrooms do have organic handmade hand soap & body gel (lemon grass zen hand soap & lavender body gel) made by the Vermont Soap Company. BREAKFAST HOURS: Breakfast is served 8:00-9:30; not until 9:00. In addition, we will be happy to accommodate you should you need it earlier/later and we believe that's exactly what we did for you. A large pitcher of OJ is kept filled until service ends and we also provided freshly-made fruit smoothies. AFTERNOON SNACK: Typically, our mid-afternoon snack is different each day. During your stay, another guest requested the brownies a second time, which is the reason for their encore. ROOM TEMP: We’re sorry you felt chilly; we didn’t expect that to be the case since it was a hot July night and other guests were running the air conditioners. Thank you for bringing it to our attention at the time, so that we could provide a heater to you. BREAKFAST: We pride ourselves on serving a 2-3 course, mostly organic/homemade breakfast. All of our cooking/baking is from scratch and being a small inn, our preference is to serve a well-prepared meal in lieu of a continental style breakfast. Of course, we can accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences for any of our guests – and we were happy to do so when you informed us of your dislike for eggs during breakfast service. Again, we're sorry your stay was not what you expected. Thank you for sharing your comments.
