My husband and I were delighted with the food, the service, and the environment at Glen Gordon Manor. Coming in, we did not know there was a restaurant associated with the bed and breakfast. We thoroughly enjoy fine dining and would rate this restaurant in our top 3! Go out in the country and enjoy a weekend away! There are also great wineries and Hikes close by.

We selected Glen Gordon Manor to celebrate two very special occasions this year for a wide range of reasons. Besides having one of the most beautiful and expansive vistas, Glen Gordon offers elegant and comfortable quarters, freedom to roam the paths around the landscaped grounds, the ability to visit the Manor's horses in their respective corrals, two of which are miniatures, visit a spa in the tack room, and relax in a jacuzzi. The owners, Dayn and Nancy Smith, are welcoming and generous hosts. Dayn, an internationally recognized chef, creates original and gourmet breakfasts, included in the board, as well as special dinners well worth enjoying! We highly recommend Glen Gordon Manor for exceptional occasions, or just for a pleasurable getaway from the pressure of everyday life. Also, there are a number of interesting wineries nearby for tastings and wine purchases.

Our two night stay was absolutely fabulous in every way! We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by staff who showed us around the property and made us feel extremely welcome in our spotless and well appointed room! In the morning, coffee was delivered to us in our room by Michele and Rashina. This is a dynamic mother and daughter team that did an incredible job serving breakfast and making us feel so welcome. We took our coffee and walked around the property and fed the horses some apples from the ground and then watched the chickens being fed. The scenery on this property is incredibly beautiful, even from our bedroom window! Breakfast was a gourmet class act! We loved everything about our stay and will definitely return. Many thanks to the lovely duo of Michele and Rashina for their exceptional customer service and the "specialness" they brought to our stay. They made us feel like part of the family!!! The staff will welcome you with open arms! Additionally, our son stayed in the cottage for his wedding night and it was absolutely stunning!!! It is a very beautiful and huge space! I highly recommend upgrading to the cottage for a wedding or anniversary!!!

We went to Glen Gordon for a special celebration. Every aspect of our stay was excellent. Mary in guest services was so helpful with all of the planning details and so kind and thoughtful during our stay. The accommodations were beautiful and the food was absolutely superb. The massages were wonderful as well. The entire staff was so helpful and made us feel so at home. The grounds were gorgeous and the view of the mountains was incredible. I can't adequately describe in words how happy we were with our stay. We can't wait to go back!

This incredible inn may be only an hour away from home but each time we drive up the picturesque driveway with those incredibly beautiful trees, we feel transported to another world. From the friendly greeting (with champagne) when we walk in the front door to the hugs we get on our way out the next day, we feel so at home at Glen Gordon. Nancy and Dayne manage to make you feel like VIPs without any hoity toity pretenses or fuss. The food is outrageously good - with smart wine pairings served by kind and personable waitstaff (no snooty servers!) Dayne is an incredible chef who combines foods and flavors so they transcend anything you've ever had before. He even makes things we don't like taste good (beets - blech). The included breakfast is hearty without being so heavy that you want to crawl back into bed afterwards. Speaking of the beds....the inn offers rooms that rival five star hotels and the manor is extremely quiet at night. They even train their roosters not to crow too early. We've been to Glen Gordon twice in the last month because they treat us like royalty and we love it! We are planning to go back for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's our happy place!

We enjoyed a wonderful Anniversary stay at Glen Gordon Manor. Dayn, Nancy and the staff made us feel welcomed and spoiled. Dinner was a multi sensory experience and was the perfect way to celebrate our arrival. The grounds and room (which boasted a private hot tub with views) provided a perfect place to relax after a hike in the mountains.

4th visit in less than 1 year. It only gets better each time. Dayn is an awesome chef. Both the food and wine are amazing. The entire staff is so wonderful. I have been looking for a restaurant my whole life that I want to eat at over and over. The menu is always changing. Normally I eat and spend the night, which in my mind feels like a week vacation. I love that it convient ride from Wash,DC area. I highly recommended this place. You will not be disappointed whatsoever. See ya #5 soon.

Very fine inn on a beautiful piece of horse property in the Virginia countryside. Tastefully decorated rooms, outstanding food and wine. The Glen Gordon Inn set the bar for what we want in a country inn.
The original Master bedroom boasts a King Size antique four-poster bed appointed with luxurious linens fit for a King. French doors open onto a light-filled conservatory with a clawfoot soaking tub, as well as a private exit to an sheltered outdoor Jacuzzi. A bay window seating area is resplendent with a view of the Blue Ridge through a cluster of majestic trees. The separate two-head shower, tiled in a Moorish style includes a rain showerhead for royal relaxation. A fireplace adds romance to fall and winter evenings.
This spacious suite features carefully chosen antiques with a decidedly French feel. A beautiful toile porter separates the sitting area from the bed. Relax in the tub while enjoying views of the horse paddocks and mountains. 588 square feet.
This two story, two room modern English cottage style suite features a king size iron bed in the master bedroom, located on the main floor. Completely separate water closet with toilet and bidet. Upstairs bedroom showcasing a custom upholstered headboard and vaulted celling. 840 square feet.
This regal and romantic boudoir features a queen-sized bed with a lush velvet upholstered headboard and antique brass nailhead ornamentation. With a marble top bar and luxurious armchairs, this is the perfect room to enjoy the company of your consort in front of the fireplace. This lady?s chamber has a two-head shower, with delicate mother-of-pearl shell tile and a soothing rain showerhead. The clawfoot soaking tub peeks out onto views of the mountains and happy chickens as they forage.
Intimate, yet princely, the centerpiece of the Albert is a queen-sized bed with an opulent velvet-upholstered headboard, as well as hand-selected antiques and richly embellished décor. Curl up in an armchair by the fireplace on a Fall or Winter evening, or soak in an enchanting view of the pool and the mountain vista. The bathroom features a stately marbled ceramic tile throughout, and has both traditional and rain shower heads.
A cozy, comfortable room with queen size sleigh bed and reach-in closet. This room features six original pen and ink drawings of Rappahannock churches by Thomas Tepper. Enjoy the beautiful views of the backyard, paddocks and mountains. Wake up to see the horses walking up to the barn for breakfast. The bathroom is modernly outfitted with a tub/shower and beautiful fixtures.
A very romantic room with a four-poster queen bed, marble top table, armoire and silk drapes. The painting is by famed Puerto Rican artist Pedro Sanchez, and is the only nude known to have been painted by him. In 2000 the artist asked to buy the painting back. His paintings are in the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, where he is famous for his portraits; painting his subjects with incredibly intricate and interesting textiles. The view from this room is across the expansive front lawn, a thousand acres of neighboring farm, and up to the mountains of Shenandoah National Park.
Gordon Mews, a spacious private retreat perched atop a hill overlooking 10 acres of hay field and rock walls; a gorgeous, short walk past the formal garden to the manor house. Relax on the covered porch with a glass of wine while rabbits hop around the garden and deer graze in the field.
