We recently stayed at the inn for an anniversary getaway. The inn was beautifully rustic with authentic finishes. The breakfast was delicious and the evening dessert and coffee a wonderful treat as well. The view from our balcony was just gorgeous and the grounds are very nice for wandering. Love its location and proximity to the quiet side of the Smokies!
Wife and I stayed here Thursday through Saturday of mother’s day weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was great and the breakfast better. Toni and Scott are great hosts and make you feel very welcome. We love the area and hope to stay again soon !!!
First time staying at a B&B and wow were we impressed! Beautiful property and lovely accommodations. The best part though was the food! It's a place we will definitely visit again. Owners were super nice and genuine folks!
Parking outside was easy and there was plenty of room to accommodate many guests. It was a short walk to the check in where there was a bell to ring and then I was quickly, warmly greeted by a warm, friendly face, the inn keeper who checked me in and gave me all pertinent information then showed me around. My room was in one of the cottages, Morning Glory and it was perfect. Everything was clean and it also had its own porch with chairs and a swing that looked into the woods. It was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic and the Temptation Station is set up each night with home made goodies the inn keeper makes from scratch. I stood there talking with him watching him a couple of times. The whole place just has a family type atmosphere so it didn't take more than a second to feel right at home. I walked the grounds at my leisure, spent time sitting on the main inn porch but also enjoyed the cottage. Slept like a baby and all my stresses went out. By the time I had to leave I didn't want to go home but I will return.
My husband and I needed a weekend away together...a break from kids and work....this was the perfect place. We loved our room and the beautiful views from our balcony. The breakfast was wonderful and was so serene (floor to ceiling windows adorn the breakfast room. We are already thinking about rebooking for October. Staff was great as well. Also, loved the wood burning fireplace in our room!
Our 40th wedding anniversary getaway will always have a special place in our hearts because of Richmond Inn. The rustic, yet refined setting, the breathtaking views, the quiet sounds of nature, the warmth and nurturing of the staff....Ahhhh, what a slice of tranquility! Our room had a balcony over one of the waterfall cascades below and a wood burning fireplace in the room which was the perfect place to wind down after a day of hiking with a pot of herbal tea and one of Miss Jody’s special deserts brought to our room on request. Every morning began with a delicious breakfast (the croissant French toast was the best we’ve ever had, and the Richmond bacon was to die for!), and little touches like making up a pack of hiking maps for us or packing a picnic lunch complete with table linens and wine glasses, smoked meats, Brie, and fruit to be enjoyed by a waterfall, next to a rollicking river cascade, or on the side of a mountain ridge with a view just made us feel pampered and special. We plan to return again soon!
My husband and I stayed at the Folkestone Inn for our 5th Anniversary and absolutely fell in love with everything about the Inn. Toni and Scott were extremely hospitable and the food was Ahhhhhh-mazing! We deeply enjoyed the covered porch off of our room and the fire pit at night. If there was one area of improvement, it would be being able to add more of the add ons they offered to my cart when I made my reservation. We will definitely stay again!
Every detail at Richmont is a respite. Evidence of maintenance to keep it pristine is done with such class. Guest aren't distracted nor inconvenienced. Truly a first class B&B.
Toni and Scott were very welcoming and very hospitable! It was a lovely weekend getaway and the food was absolutely delicious! I had no idea that Scott was a chef until I got home and read up about their inn and their background! The food was amazing— truly spectacular!! We enjoyed the hot tea, cookies upon arrival and the beautiful surroundings of their home. It’s location is extremely convenient to Great Smoky National Park and town. We will return and look forward to it!! Julie & John
Our small wedding was beautiful and Christopher Place exceeded all of our expectations. Debbie, the wedding planner, was amazing and worked hard to make my wedding perfect. All of our meals were delicious! Everyone had two desserts because the cake was beautiful, but my guests were drooling for the creme brûlée. Everyone decided it was the best they had ever had to eat. We’ve already decided to make Christopher Place one of our anniversary visits.
The inn had many guests. Upon arrival, there appeared to be only one person available to assist with check in. Later, during the dessert time, the service was slow. The weather was very cold and the only helper was in great demand to deliver firewood and assist with gas logs. However, the following morning, breakfast was delightful and the servers were efficient and cheerful.
We have been coming to Blue Mtn Mist for over 12 years. Always have had a wonderful time. Rooms are great and the Innkeepers are good friends, after all these years. Breakfasts are outstanding and they change daily. Would recommend the Inn very highly Will be back in the spring!!!
Great view of the mountains from our room / deck. Evening snack and Breakfast was good. Room was good but someone had left windows open a crack so we were killing bugs most of the evening. Overall - enjoyed the short visit. -Jim
Snuggled away in the Tennessee woods is a spectacular Inn. We went in the dead of winter. The Inn has beautiful woodwork, attentive and friendly staff/ owner, close to the Smokey Mountains, and all the quiet we wished for. Hope to be back soon.
Room was very nice, loved the fireplace. Hard to control heat, if it was on - room was hot. When it was off, room was cold. May consider upgrading the heating system. Staff was exceptional, went out of their way to accommodate.
This place was fantastic. We were looking to explore the surrounding areas and wanted a place that was close to everything we had planned. Being right in Bryson City gave us plenty of places to eat and things to explore, and it is close enough for trips to Asheville via the blue ridge parkway. The room was very nice with plenty of space. It was very nice having hot water for tea at night and coffee served every morning. The breakfast was amazing. Most hotels offer some sort of breakfast, but it is a joke compared to what we were served at the Folkestone Inn. We paid less to stay here and had better service and food than any hotel would provide. We hope to visit again very soon!
This is our second time to stay at BMM and we LOVE it! I think we will make it our home away from home location. We brough both of the kids and they throoughly enjoyed running outside and playing on the trail. We all enjoyed the breakfasts and evening desserts. The staff is friendly and engaging. Everything was perfect. We will be back.
We stayed in Trillium Cottage - our second visit in 9 months. It is cozy, quiet, and private. We had breakfast delivered to the cottage each morning ... it was to die for! We also took advantage of the Spa for couples massage - amazing!
I was looking for a quiet place to visit for our anniversary and found this wonderful place. The staff was very friendly and warm and although we were away from the nearest town we were only minutes from the attractions we wanted to see. If you live in a busy city like ourselves and want to get away to a quiet place in the mountains? This is the place to be, the views are amazing, we're definitely going back to visit....
My husband and I stayed at the inn for the second time recently, and our stay was just as wonderful the second time as it was the first. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even though we were checking in on Thanksgiving Day. The breakfasts were delicious, and the views are spectacular. We can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem. I travel all over the country for business and pleasure and this is one of my favorite places to get away. We will be back soon!
