My fiancee and I are expecting in June. We needed a little getaway before the baby joins us. We scheduled an off Season visit and ended up with an incredibly quiet and relaxing weekend. The hosts made us feel like family. Hospitality was beyond our expectations. If you are in to History this destination can't be beat. We will definitely be returning.

We recently took over the entire Mary-Penn for a family gathering and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Bea & David did a beautiful job restoring this lovely historic farmhouse. Beds were comfortable and rooms were tastefully decorated with some nice extras like robes & toiletries. Generous homestyle breakfast was served and Bea & David joined us to talk about the history of the house and the farm. They are warm and welcoming people and were very accommodating -- especially since we ended up with one extra overnight guest and a couple of extra guests for breakfast the next morning. If you're looking for a place for a family or friends gathering, this is a perfect spot. Feels like it's well off the beaten path (driveway is a mile long off the main road) but it's only about 8-10 miles from the heart of Gettysburg and is a perfect place to to stay if you prefer peaceful and spacious accommodations.

Just returned from a much needed break and stayed at the Mary-Penn B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and beauty of this very historical home. The Inn Keepers are fabulous people! Breakfasts were perfect. Bea was even able to pleasantly address my GF needs without a lesser quality option. We will go back!

While in the Gettysburg area this past Labor Day weekend we had the pleasure of staying at the Mary-Penn B&B. Absolutely one of the finest B&B's we've stayed at. The room are first rate while the house in its entirety is spectacular. The history of the home is overwhelming as is the attention and service provided by the owners. It's about 8 miles from downtown Gettysburg, plenty close enough to enjoy whatever suites you. The location is rural , quiet , serene and as it should be relaxing. We will be back !

Bea and David have created a B&B that is truly special. For those of you that have an appreciation of beautiful landscapes, amazing accommodations and true hospitality then this is the place for you. The home itself has been respectfully restored and updated. The hearty breakfast personally made by Bea was wonderful. We particularly enjoyed her expansive knowledge of the home and the families that have contributed to the history of this area.

My wife and I spend our anniversary at the Mary Penn B&B over the Halloween weekend. The house is in a very relaxing environment. The creek flowed just outside the house which is good drive into the farm, so no outside noises were heard. Deer were seen out in the fields in the morning. Other wildlife is readily seen also, such as hawks and the occasional eagle. But the best part of the experience was meeting the owners Bea and David. They made you feel at home. If you visit Mary Penn, you must sit down with them and talk about the history of the house and of their family history in the area. We plan to return with our friends for a relaxing visit. Every so often you are drawn to a place that has a special meaning. For us this is the spot. Not only is their home spotless, comfortable, and full of history but the hostess, Bea, is a treasure in her own right! From the moment we entered the front door and learned the history of the Mary-Penn it was clear this was not just a place to lay your head but a place to call home. Recommend it highly! Bea and David are the perfect hosts. We stayed for the weekend and we all were treated like family. Our coma onions had been there before and this was my first trip and definitely recommend a stay. The history alone of the house is amazi and coupled with the hospitality makes this place amazing.
