La Châtelaine est une ancienne ferme de style fédéral seulement 6 miles de PSU dynamique et State College, PA. Nos 4 chambres sont spacieuses avec des lits king size et un grand espace salon. Un canapé-lit causeuse ajouter un espace pour une 3ème personne. Bains sont privés, avec la suite au 3ème étage partage parfois. Le patio est agréable en été, et le Carriage House accueille des événements nuptiales. Nos petits déjeuners sont amplement, frais et délicieux, avec une attention à vos sensibilités alimentaires.

This B&B is run by a darling mother and daughter tag-team who couldn't have been more pleasant. Breakfasts were venturesome and delicious. The B&B is reached from Penn State in just a few minutes and the rooms are comfortable and attractive. The house is quite clean: I felt I had to leave a note about the bed being made only one of the mornings in case that would trouble another guest, although it didn't trouble us, and I believe there were extenuating circumstances.

Dear Folks, I have been more than a little under the weather, and Mandy is detoxifying after having her amalgam fillings removed. I must have left it to her to make up your bed that day, but she has a hard time thinking that is our chore. She really only likes to pick up damp towels so you never have to reuse them. I don't really make your bed completely, but like to give it a good smoothing. Sorry we fell short. Give us another try sometime. Happy Holidays. We are hoping for guests this weekend, and have posted a Black Friday Special with tonight free. Fans are losing faith in the team it seems. Blessings to all of you. Mae

My son and I plus our friend needed a place to stay near State College, PA for a weekend birding trip. We lucked out. You never know what you are getting when you make reservations online but finding the Chatelaine was like hitting the lottery. Our accommodations were clean and roomy and Mae and Mandy are the best hostesses. Mae and Mandy went above and beyond attending to our needs. We needed an early breakfast time, no problem. When Mae heard that we were going to spend the day on a cold mountain top, she insisted we take a carafe of her great coffee with us. Breakfast was a real treat. Plenty for three big guys and delicious, too. I would recommend the Chatelaine for anybody. Great location for Penn State events.

We certainly enjoyed Clyde and his son and friend. It was a surprise to learn they had come for the Golden Eagle count from the crest of Old Tussey Mountain, (such a cold spot.) I was glad to make them a huge carafe of coffee, and would have supplied blankets to shelter them from the wind and cold rocks they sat upon all day. Actually, later in the day, they went to our Wetlands and ran across a flock of Cranes. Clyde's wife sent along a box of Irish Spuds, those St. Patrick Day specialties that jer group make to sell for their good works. They were far better than any I have ever bought in our markets, and I am anxiously awaiting their recipe. Hoping they all come again in fair or foul weather.
