The rooms and lodge building are great. Dennis built much of it himself and he can provide great detail. The meals were also excellent. The two breakfasts we had each included arrays of both savory and sweet offerings. Dennis and Jennine are both involved in the preparation and eat with the guests - a very nice personal touch. In addition to the breakfasts, they are very very generous with snacks later in the day - including home-cooked items. The bonus, to me, is their conversational skill. They are open and engaging when talking about themselves and their neighborhood, and are genuinely interested their guests as well. They have an assistant, dog Scout, who has apparently learned charm from Dennis and Jennine. He is extremely well-mannered and friendly and just adds to the joy in the house.

We stayed with Dennis, Janine, and their dog Scout for 3 days: Wed 09 Aug to Fri 11 Aug. We stayed with another couple. Dennis and Janine are perfect hosts. The lodge is in a quite, peaceful setting on the east side of Keuka Lake. The bedroom we stayed was on the second floor. The room was cozy with a spacious bathroom. The room and bath were clean. The kitchen, dining area, and sitting area on the first floor has an open floor. Large windows face west. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. Dennis and Janine enjoy sharing breakfast. We enjoyed the conversation. We highly recommend staying.

And we done good. We needed to find a place that was close enough to HWS Colleges in Geneva, but still left us in the country, near the lakes and the vineyards. Loose Moose is homey and welcoming. It feels like staying with friends instead of in a boutique hotel. We shall return.

We have stayed at a number of B&B's in the Finger Lakes, over the years, and can honestly say that the Loose Moose could be the best. The combination of reasonable price, the most amiable and accommodating hosts ever, excellent breakfast choices, and comfortable rooms put it at the top of our list. Add the location on Keuka Lake near the Windmill and a short hop to Hammondsport, or Seneca Wineries and you have a great combination. Jennine and Dennis are perfect B&B hosts, the evening desserts are also great, (if you wish to partake)...the cherry pie was excellent; still warm from the oven. We will return...Dave and Pat

Jennine and Dennis could not have been more accomodating. What a wonderful place to stay with friendly people. We enjoyed the area and found our short trip to the Finger Lakes to be enjoyable. The Loose Moose comes with a high recommendation. Lin's b-day group!

We traveled to this lodge from Pennsylvania with some English friends. We were amazed at the warmth and hospitality shown us. The breakfasts were amazing. The advice about local attractions and the directions given were invaluable. Dennis and Jennine go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home and comfortable. Excellent value, great location, wonderful hosts. What more could you ask for?

My wife and I just got home to New Jersey after spending 2 wonderful nights at the Loose Moose Lodge. The place is stunning. The rooms are luxurious and well kept. The house is huge and the owners, Dennis and Jennine are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They are able to make feel like this is your home away from home. The food is great and Dennis will basically cook you what ever you want for breakfast. Not to mention Jennine prepares great snacks or desserts at night. So it is more than just breakfast. Lastly they have a wonderful dog. I would highly recommend a stay at the Loose Moose to anyone traveling to the area.

Our stay at the Loose Moose was very enjoyable. The Whitmore's are very welcoming hosts and breakfasts were excellent! Dessert in the evening was an added bonus! The open design of the house was welcoming and helped us to feel at home, not like we were supposed to stay in only one area. We'll definitely stay there again.

My fiancée and I stayed one night at the Loose Moose Lodge, and it was fantastic. The lodge is a log cabin tucked away in the woods on Keuka Lake. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, and the entire building is warm, inviting and tastefully decorated. Our hosts (and their dog) made us feel extremely welcome, and the breakfast they prepared was over-the-top with Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, and so on. We stayed in the Lake Room, which felt very private. We also appreciated the "no minimum stay" policy that made it possible for us to get away for a quick trip. Would definitely stay there again, and recommend to our friends!

My wike and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and had a great time. The host joined us for breakfast, not just to serve us, and it made it feel like we were visiting friends or family. It was a nice touch on a very nice bed and breakfast. Because of their location, you feel like you are miles and miles for anywhere, but are just a couple hundred yards from 54 on Keuka Lake. The house is beautiful and rustic. If you are looking for a nice place to stay without the pretentiousness of some B&Bs, the Loose Moose is for you.

We spent three nights at the Loose Moose Lodge with my sister and her husband this July. Everything about the place was wonderful-the rooms, food, and our hosts! You will not go away hungry after breakfast! Dennis and Jennine were "spot on" as far as recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. This is a great getaway to really "get away" from it all- a very quiet and peaceful place with beautiful views. A must stay! Claudia and Dennis, Monroe, NY

Was one of the best B&Bs we have ever been to. Jennine and Dennis go out of their way to make you feel right at home like family. The rooms, view and the decor is wonderful. The breakfasts and an evening apple pie were great. Also I have a new friend with the great Scout. We found our place to stay in the finger lakes! Jeff Kuehn and Nadine Scala

We wanted a place that was close to Keuka Lake near the wineries. This log home was perfect! Great place to stay and we loved the room and innkeepers. Thanks for a great time!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Loose Moose Lodge B&B. Dennis & Jennine were the perfect hosts! We enjoyed a nice quiet evening in front of a roaring fire, watching tv and just chatting. The room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and it was fun watching Scout do tricks after breakfast to earn the left over bacon! We can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the B&B. It was cozy and relaxing and the Innkeepers were welcoming and friendly. We felt like family by the time we left. Their dog Scout was also a great addition to the stay. We would definitely recommend staying there and hope to be back soon!

In style, architecture, comfort and personality, the Loose Moose is exemplary! It is 'Bed and Breakfast' redefined. We were searching for cozy, comfortable stay, but not something in the typical tradition of Victorian B&B's. This place more than suited our desires! The log cabin feel and the gorgeous setting are postcard worthy. The rooms and lodge - impeccable, the breakfast - hearty and the company - delightful. It is obvious the Innkeepers genuinely love what they do and that their primary goal is to assure their guests love their stay. We would highly recommend this little gem, so book a room NOW!!

Dennis and Jennine have made there BB home yours!! Clean (pristine) and comfortable with outstanding views!! Homemade apple pie with ice cream awaited us as we came back from Dinner. Breakfast the next morning include homemade biscuits, fresh fruit and juices, eggs, bacon, homemade home-fries and whatever we desired!! Dennis and Jennine truly are fantastic people and have a wonderful Lodge!!

At first we weren't even considering bed/breakfasts when planning out trip to the Finger Lakes this summer, but this one was unique enough to catch my eye. A log home B&B? Right up my alley! And, I'm so glad we decided to book our stay (and that room was available). Our hosts, Dennis & Jennine, are friendly, hospitable hosts who put a lot of thought & care into what they do. Their beautiful log home was clean and comfortable with all the amenities of home (nice woodland decor, too). Love Scouttie-dog! And the views were picture-perfect! We stayed two nights, each morning featured a yummy hearty breakfast with lively conversation. There's even a cozy lounge upstairs with a TV and reading material. Our room was "just right". Our hosts also gave us some suggestions as to our itinerary, places to take photos, where to eat dinner, etc. Our price was reasonable and as quoted. It's definitely a place we will consider returning. Thanks for the enjoyable stay. J & A Wojcik

My husband and I LOVED our stay at the Loose Moose Lodge!! It was all we could ask for in a b&b plus so much more. Dennis and Jennine were so welcoming and their house is beautiful. The rooms were the perfect size and the decor is amazing. We will be going back very soon!!!
