All we can say is WOW! My boyfriend and I decided to have a weekend get away and I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay. We make the trip up to Duluth whenever we can, but we usually stay in hotels around Canal Park. Well, this trip has changed that. I don't think we could ever stay anywhere else now! There is so much history and memories that come with, not to mention the beautiful and carefully designed architecture. Ken and Kimberly were so welcoming and helpful with recommendations on places to visit and eat, and we can't forget about the breakfast.. AMAZING! I think it's safe to say we will be back and we highly recommend checking this place out, you won't regret it!

My husband and I were flying out to Wisconsin (from Seattle) for a wedding and we figured if we needed to fly so far we might as well stay a few extra days and explore the area. When I first saw the Cotton Mansion in pictures I was sold and it did not disappoint! The house is beautiful and so wonderful to stay in. I wanted to steal the comforter it was so cozy. The owners were fantastic and so sweet and accommodating! My husband and I had to do a late check-in because of our flight and they were very understanding and welcoming, then the next morning we were leaving early to go exploring so we missed breakfast (which was unfortunate) and they were very gracious. The best part of our stay was the last morning. They let us dine on the second floor terrace because we were the only guests and they made us a genuinely spectacular breakfast, easily the best meal we ate the whole vacation!! And then I found out I had a Skype interview that day at 1 and we were supposed to check out by 11; well, they let us stay the extra time and use the dining room (because, as they informed me, it had the best Wi-Fi) and even made sure everyone was quiet and out of the way for my interview so no one disturbed me. It was so helpful and I cannot thank them enough for their amazing hospitality. Seriously, if you're going to Duluth, stay here, it's absolutely worth it!

We stayed at the Cotton Mansion for two nights (new years eve and the night before). The couple who owns the mansion were so welcoming. They even spent a lot of time talking with us about the history of the mansion (we are very into old homes). The breakfast was great and served community style - which I was unsure about at first - but turned out to be very fun. We even met another couple there and celebrated the New Year out with them. Definitely Recommend

We had an amazing time at this timeless classic mansion. Ken dazzled us with historic accounts of the mansion from the time of its building to present day. 11 out of 10 Derek D.

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful 2 night stay at the Cotton Mansion, for our Honeymoon. We stayed in the carriage house in the Bella Flora room. Ken walked through our room with us explaining where the fridge, coffee, how the Jacuzzi tub worked as well as the shower. The bed was very comfortable, gas fire place was gorgeous. The room was clean, large, private and very cozy. They provided lavender candles, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner and even lotion. The Jacuzzi tub had an included heater that kept the water warm for as long as you wanted to enjoy it. The mansion was built early 1900's. They have kept/restored all original furniture, wood work and light fixtures. It is beautiful. Ken ran through the entire history of the house and Cotton family during breakfast at our request. They make AMAZING breakfasts. The first morning they made eggs Benedict with fresh fruit and an apple muffin. The second morning they served fresh pineapple with stuffed french toast. Very good! We plan to go back!

What a treat! I thought it would be a little stuffy for out Northwoods ways but it was very comfortable. Ken and Kim were full of information about the history of the mansion and Duluth and it was really fun to learn. The food was great! Not only did we enjoy a lovely breakfast but there was also wine with cheese and crackers and other snacks available between 4 and 6.

We stayed at the Cotton mansion recently and had a wonderful experience. We ended up getting there very very late and they were just as welcoming as if we had gotten there during check in hours. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. The building is gorgeous. One owner explained the history of the building which made the place even more interesting. The breakfasts were also top notch. I will be going back there again and again and would advise anyone thinking about a bed and breakfast to try this one.

My husband booked the Garden Room at the carriage house for our 3 year anniversary and when we got there I was just thrilled! The mansion is simply gorgeous! I felt like a princess staying there. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was divine! I will go back every year from now on...

Celebrated our 23 wedding anniversary at the Cotton Mansion. What a beautiful setting. We stayed in the Bell Cotton Room. We truly enjoyed the rich history and beauty of the home. Ken and Kim were wonderful host and hostess. I would recommending staying at the Cotton Mansion. We will go back and stay in one of the other rooms. Each room seemed to have it's own flare. Food was awesome. Just blocks from downtown Duluth but quiet and lovely neighborhood.
