Log cabin name doesn't do justice to this exquisite place

4,8 sur octobre 05, 2017

A beautiful new structure with 20-ft vaulted celibgs showcases the common room with attached dining room and kitchen. Yes, it tecnically a log cabin--but it is bright and spacious and inviting. There are two spacious bedrooms with ensute baths that offer clock radio cd players, TV and hairdryer and flashlights. The host is kind an d friendly and content to let you be or chat. Delicious full breakfast with eggs and sausage and muffins and fruit--very open to catering to preferences or allergies. Practically hidden in the woods, this place is a gem!

Great Surprise Anniversary Getaway

5 sur septembre 29, 2017

I booked one Saturday night stayin September as an anniversary surprise for my wife. We don't get away without the kids very often, so I wanted to find somewhere that was quiet and peaceful. Kathie and her husband, Glen, warmly greeted us upon our arrival and showed us to our room (one of only two at the Inn). The Inn was beautiful and charming, inside and out. The private porch attached to our room was a great spot to have a cup of coffee and read; the only sounds you will hear are crickets and the Inn's 3 resident sheep "mowing" the lawn. Breakfast was great and Kathie was full of recommendations for restaurants or things to do without ever being overbearing. The Inn is an extraordinary value; we had a great time and hope to return in the future!

Weekend getaway

4,6 sur janvier 21, 2017

My boyfriend and I decided to getaway for a long weekend. The log cabin b&b was such a gem. Our innkeeper made us feel right at home and served us breakfast each morning. The b&b was clean, cozy, and very cute and perfect for a long weekend away. We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others. Erika & Dan

Log Cabin review

5 sur octobre 19, 2016

We stayed at the Log Cabin inn the week of October 12th, 2016, for one night. It's a great B&B, very secluded and peaceful. Kathy was very friendly and helpful without being overbearing. That's a delicate balance that not all B&B hosts are able to handle. The house is designed as a B&B with the two guest rooms directly off the main living/dining room area. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was great - good quantity and quality. We would definitely stay there again, especially if we lived less than 3000 miles away!

Cozy Little Retreat

5 sur août 21, 2016

We stayed at the Log Cabin while doing some genealogical research in the Leyden area. The area is quite remote, and there are very few options for lodging. But this little cabin provided a quiet and comfortable retreat after several days in the hustle and bustle of Boston. There are only two guest rooms, but they were comfortably appointed, and quite adequate for our needs. The innkeepers, Kathie and Glen, were very accomodating and quite helpful in guiding us to the various places we wanted to go. Our breakfasts were quite delicious and prepared "from scratch" each morning! Although it is modest in what it provides for the traveler, it is very clean and comfortable, and is situated in a lovely wooded area that is private and quiet. We found it to be quite delightful, and will definitely put it on our "must stop" places for future trips to the Leyden MA area.

Perfect stay

4,6 sur mai 28, 2016

This is a beautiful, two room B&B, off the beaten path in the cool, quiet Leyden, MA countryside. It would be a treat for anyone, not just those like me who are trying to learn a bit of local history. The bed was extremely comfortable and was equipped with one of those supportive pillows that allowed me to sit up and read. Our hostess was wonderful, helpful and informative. And, it was a pleasure to chat with her the other guests. Our visit left us with a glow that stayed with us for the rest of our journey.

The perfect getaway

5 sur janvier 22, 2016

The Log Cabin is a truly unique and wonderful place; remote, serene, warm and beautiful. The great room is perfect for sipping coffee and reading by the fire as the snow falls. The bedrooms were private and very well designed. In fact, you can tell a lot of thought went into designing the entire space. The bed in the room was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept, prompting Kathie to disclose where she got it (locally of course) so that I could possibly buy one for myself. Breakfast was flexible and delicious and there is plenty of fine dining just a short drive away (The Farm Table at Kringle Candle). All in all, it was a magical weekend getaway for my lady and me.

My wife and I had been given a gift certificate to a bed and breakfast for one night, we looked at a bunch of them but most were all older houses/fancier houses which we are laid back people so it didnt suit us, we came across The Log Cabin Bed and Breakfast and loved it! We were warmly greeted when we arrived and Kathie had the perfect mix of being hospitable but giving us our alone time. Everything was new and in good condition and living quarters were kept very warm. The Sheep in the backyard was and extra cool feature. She made us a excellent breakfast which was well rounded nutritionally and very tasty. I and my family will be staying there again for sure!
