  • 9 Slices buttered white bread
  • 1 cup Crumbled Cooked Sausage
  • 1 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 8 Slightly beaten eggs
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1/3 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon Pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown crumbled sausage in skillet, drain off grease. In one bowl combine the bread crumbs, sausage and 1/2 of shredded cheese. Add salt and pepper.
  2. In another bowl lightly beat 8 eggs, add 2 cups of milk. Pour the first bowl of mixed dry ingredients into the second egg/milk mixture and stir. Refrigerate overnight. sseroles with cooking spray and spoon in egg mixture until 3/4 full. Top with the remainder of shredded cheese.
  3. Next morning add more milk if the mixture seems too thick. Spray ramekin casserole dishes with cooking spray and fill until 3/4 full, top with remaining shredded cheese.Place on a cookie sheet and bake approximately 20 minutes or until they rise. Garnish with parsley and salsa.
  4. Optional: Add bacon or ham instead of sausage, or any combo of these. Also, mix in scallions, diced tomatoes,peppers or mushrooms for variety. This recipe is delicious served with biscuits and spiced baked apples.
