1 cup heavy whipping cream w/ tsp vanilla, tsp sugar or
1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
Place halved and cored apples in shallow baking dish (apples should have a fairly large hole cut out of them in the center).
Fill apples with granola mix (may include seasonal mixes of raisins, dried cranberries, nuts).
Place SMALL dab of butter or shortening on top of granola.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
When apples are done, serve in individual bowls topped with whipped cream or yogurt, or place on serving tray with each apple dabbed with topping. Arrnage edible flowers around apples. Serve while hot.
