What a wonderful place this is! The property is beautiful, and Tom and Judith could not have been nicer. This would be a perfect place for friends to get together, or an extended family, since the two guest rooms share a living and dining space. We were the only guests during our weeklong visit, so we had the house to ourselves, which was perfect.

Late March was my most recent return to The Wren's Nest where I normally stay two or three times per year. Both the facilities and the service remains excellent as long as one appreciates being out in the country away from mobile phone service and wifi. Remains my favorite to place to be able to get away from it all ... and enjoy Tom and Judith Hoover's wonderful breakfasts!

We were fortunate to have the place to ourselves because the other room ( Butterfly), in the cottage rented separately. Not a good fit if you had been with people you didn't know. This was the only drawback we didn't know about. So Tom and Judith were a delight to chat with and the breakfast was great!! This cottage is made for a family style unless you rent both rooms. The hiking trail was good exercise too and plan to go back and do some fishing :) Thanks Tom and Judith

Just spent four early spring days at the Wren's Nest - my third time there in the past six months. The rooms and other facilities continue to be quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. It was my first stay in the slightly larger bedroom which was useful as I needed a little more room to spread out work I was doing. Also, the view into the woods and access to the back deck were also positive for this particular choice. Tim and Judith were in top form; I always love our morning conversations. Plus I find the morning breakfasts excellent and log lasting. I'm never in any rush for lunch afterwards and many times I don't really feel a need to eat again until evening. I am very happy the very little cell phone connectivity there and the total lack of wifi access at this point; others might not be as happy with this as I am, but I find I can do that when I go into town. Yes, I am looking forward to returning again.

The bedrooms were quite small, and there was no bathtub, but otherwise the experience was great. We were the only guests, which was nice, because the two bedrooms were very close to each other. The breakfasts were very nice, and the hosts were very friendly, and the price was fantastic.

Way out in the boonies, this place is perfect for what I wished to do: read, sleep, hike, and visit nearby sites. The Hoovers are friendly, informed, and helpful. I was also delighted to be asked to choose a breakfast to order each morning. The only caution I might give is if a person is of a larger size or has a lot of luggage, one might have trouble getting to the bedrooms since the main entrance to them is up a picturesque spiral staircase.
