Perfect if you want to treat yourself during a Wine country getaway. On-site wine tasting on weekends (only serving wines from wineries owned by the same company as the Inn - but the staff has a general interest in and knowledge of wineries in the area). Breakfast was plentiful with several innovative twist on traditional breakfast foods.

We spent two nights here while exploring wine country. The room was very comfortable, but the highlight of the room was the shower and tub- amazing! The complimentary wine hour and the cookies set out in the afternoon were also highlights of the stay. I would like breakfast, which was delicious, to be served earlier. It was served at 9 and we had 10 am appointments to get to which made it tight in the mornings.

We are repeat guests of the Grape Leaf Inn. While we live only an hour away, staying here brings us to a whole new world of beauty, fine touches and relaxation. Rooms are all beautifully appointed and very clean. My ONLY complaint is that breakfast starts so late that half the day is over...no coffee available till 7:30 and breakfast (absolutely delicious) isn't till 9. If you are not an early riser, this is the place to stay in Healdsburg!

The Grape Leaf Inn is as beautiful inside as it is outside! My husband and I stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed almost the whole visit. I say "almost" because the inside temperature of the house for the duration of our stay was absolutely freezing. My husband complained of being cold and he's never cold. On the positive side, the breakfasts were incredible, and the speakeasy was pretty cool. We would definitely stay at the inn again, but bring bed socks and flannel pyjamas!

We were able to book a very last-minute reservation during busy Barrel Tasting weekend. The owner (?) who greeted us a check-in was cheerful and helpful, providing a tour of the space and information about the property. The inn itself is a lovely converted old home - with the anticipated small spaces and thin walls that come with old homes. The room itself was quite comfortable but the bathroom would be considered by most to be very small, and included my own personal bugaboo: lack of towel racks or hooks. (There was a hook on the back of the door, but it was only available if we removed the robes hanging from it and put them elsewhere.) Also, the showerhead was hopeless, but none of those minor inconveniences made our stay unhappy. We missed the evening wine tasting - although it looked very appealing - and slept in through breakfast - although it smelled great! - but we LOVED the warm cookies in the dining room when we came back in the evening. We'll definitely be back.

Thank you so much for the wonderful weekend in your Inn. We had a GREAT time! The weather was perfect for sitting outdoors Friday night, the room was clean, gorgeous and very comfy... and the food was OUTstanding! Our Chef Candy was fabulous. We told her we'd like to live with her, so we could enjoy more of her cooking specialties. YUM! Thank you again for the most wonderful weekend on our very special anniversary. We will definitely come back!

Kristen was extremely helpful in helping us plan ourt weekend; she shared a lot of good tips and suggestions, sent us in the right direction. She made sure that our stay at Grape Leaf was comfortable; she checked in with us several times to make sure that our needs were met. We can't thank her enough!

I spent 2 nights at Grape Leaf Inn, while in Healdsburg for the annual half marathon run. Quite a lovely place. My only suggestion is need for better lighting in the rooms for reading in ved

Great place that is close to downtown. Awesome breakfast! Well entertained by 'Peaches' the cat! Will stay again...
On the main floor of the Grape Leaf Inn is where you will find the charming Sangiovese room, carefully tucked away in a peaceful corner of the historic home. The subdued coloring of the walls blend perfectly with the hardwood flooring, as well as the tall, mirrored armoire and romantic fireplace. The large windows feature scenes of the quaint Grant Street outside, while the plush, king size bed serves as the perfect oasis in which to escape it all. The spacious bathroom houses a uniquely framed mirror above a large, single vanity, nestled beside a combination bath and shower with handheld attachment.
True to its name, the floral wallpaper of the downstairs Gamay Rose surrounds the plush king size bed and provides a glimpse into the Victorian era, while giving way to the rosy hues of the tiled bathroom, equipped with Jacuzzi tub and shower. Opening up into a private outdoor patio, the California sky serves as the backdrop for an intimate tasting. Though with the large flat screen television and DVD player, one may be just as tempted to bring the wine back inside. The mirrored armoire is ready to house the contents of your journey, while the wooden desk encourages all to take a moment and jot down the loving memories of Wine Country.
One of only three rooms with a four-poster bed, a luxurious king, nestled below vaulted ceilings, the Viognier room epitomizes class. The natural skylights pair perfectly with the stunning stained glass and help illuminate the space with a variety of colors. Perched in the corner, a small table and plush chairs provide the ideal setting for tasting one of the Wilson Family’s award-winning wines, while the neighboring fireplace only helps ratchet up the atmosphere. A step inside the gorgeous bathroom finds you face to face with another of the stained glass windows, with pedestal sink and a large shower and tub in the foreground.
Being detached from the rest of the inn, with its own private entrance and patio, isn’t the only thing that sets the Champagne Suite apart. The introduction begins as you enter through a wooden gate, giving way to a stunning terrace, equipped with outdoor furniture and surrounded by wood paneling, trellises, trees and plants. It truly is the perfect place to entertain a few friends or relax for a romantic night in with a loved one. Once inside the room, the king bed lies beneath exposed beam and on top of hardwood flooring. For a true one-of-a-kind experience, take a waltz into the bathroom, as the walk-through shower allows for one to feel refreshed under the freedom of the open sky. Or for the less brave among us, there is also the indoor variety, situated beside a single vanity with plenty of storage options.
Located on the top floor of the historic inn, the Mourvedre Room is as classic as it is elegant. Set in a unique, semi-rotunda shape, the trifecta of windows surround the king size bed with images of the charming Grant Street outside, while a tastefully painted banner dances overhead. The large, flat screen television with DVD player sits atop a roaring fireplace, both emitting their own versions of light and warmth. Once inside the bathroom, a floral bouquet meshes perfectly with the tiled sink top, all centered around a large, rectangular shower and tub combo with stunning stained glass placed perfectly in the middle.
The vaulted ceilings of the upstairs bedroom double as natural skylights, which open into the Wine Country air, allowing the fresh breeze to rush inward. The plush, queen size bed lies as an oasis in the center, while the mirrored armoire allows for plenty of space to hang one’s evening best, ready to don for a night on the historic Healdsburg plaza. The bathroom features a marble sink with a combination bath and shower, which shines bright in the morning sun, welcoming the new day.
As you reach the top floor of the Grape Leaf Inn, the Roussanne room welcomes you with a tasteful, floral charm. The tall, vaulted ceilings feature a pair of skylights, which fill the room with an array of sunshine and couple with the other neighboring windows to truly bring the space to life. From the comforts of the king size bed, there’s plenty an opportunity to relax with your feet up, while casually surfing through the channels of the large, flat screen television. And for a little extra warmth and atmosphere, the fireplace below is ready to put on a show of its own. A step inside the romantic bathroom allows one to discover a stunning vanity with an elongated marble top and matching sink and bath faucets. The deep tub also features massaging jets, with a shower and skylight overhead, adding to the rich lighting of the room overall.
Delicately wallpapered with scenes of the wild, the charming, Zinfandel Room is a true testament to the era and comes to life each new day in the California sun. With a plush, king size bed and separate wicker and wooden dressers, one will feel transported to a time 100 years gone by. The vaulted ceilings emit plenty of natural light into the bedroom and, especially, the bathroom, gleaming off of the pearly, white tile, pedestal sink and combination shower and tub.
One of the largest bedrooms on the property, the upstairs, Chardonnay Room offers an abundance of space for visitors to our 1900 Queen Anne Victorian home. The elegant room is sectioned between a luxurious master king and a separate lounge area, equipped with twin bed, sitting chairs, flat screen TV and DVD player, making it one of only two rooms in the entire inn with two beds. Both rooms feature vaulted ceilings and stained glass, accenting the true artistic nature of the space. The large, walk through bath area is separate from the restroom and contains a combination shower and tub, with double vanity sinks and plenty of counter and drawer space for a full assortment of cosmetic goods.
A guest favorite, the Syrah room is one of the most popular in the inn and it’s easy to see why. Surrounded by stained glass and nestled atop hardwood floors, the luxurious king bed sits perfectly in the middle under the careful watch of vaulted ceilings. A plush, reading nook rests peacefully in the corner, patiently awaiting the company of a good book or morning newspaper. The spacious bathroom features an elongated double vanity, book-ended between a deep, Japanese style soaking tub and large, tiled shower.
The largest room in the house, the Pinot Noir Suite truly is a touch of luxury. With its separate living area and bedroom, as well as a private, outdoor patio, it will make one hard pressed to want to emerge from its comforts during your stay. Thankfully, there’s Healdsburg, and all of the temptations that await outside of the doors of the Grape Leaf Inn. While still inside the suite, however, a welcoming couch awaits, situated in front of a flat screen television. For the extra guests, the couch also folds out into a queen size bed, with its own private toilet and shower just steps away. The master king room features its own en-suite bathroom, with a large basin and combination shower and tub, as well as an additional HDTV, providing plenty of choice on the channels.
As the sunlight pours in over the English country-style garden and through the large windows, reverberations of blue and purple from the stained glass dance across the room and truly bring the space to life, accenting the polished hardwood and sandy tones in its wake. Situated on the main floor of the original, 1900 Queen Anne Victorian home, the Sauvignon Blanc room features a four poster, queen size bed, with views overlooking the charming Johnson Street. A wooden bench provides the perfect setting to relax with a morning newspaper, while the sun serves as a natural reading light. The en-suite bathroom includes a large, basin sink and a tiled shower, stocked with complimentary ShiKai toiletries.
Whether you choose to wake up with the morning sun or close the blinds and sleep the day away, the option is yours when lying in the comforts of the luxurious king size bed. The vaulted ceilings of the upstairs, Merlot Room truly accentuate the charm of the original home, reminding guests that they haven’t opted for just an ordinary hotel. The antique, wooden armoire provides plenty of space for storing the souvenirs of your trip to Wine Country, while the plush reading chair is always inviting of a hot beverage and a good book. The large bathroom, with pedestal sink and tiled shower, serves as a secluded haven for the morning routine.
