We have stayed at the Aaronsburg Inn every summer the night before my family reunion. This area of PA is so beautiful with all the Amish farms and mountain views that we always enjoy our morning walk in the country. Just this past Sunday on our walk we saw a doe and her 2 fawns, a rabbit, a herd of draft horses, and a mole, LOL. Three Amish families passed us going to church in their horse drawn buggies and they all waved to us. The Inn is a perfect place to stay and the hospitality cannot be beat. I only wish it was closer to us as we are 10 hours away, but can't wait for our next visit in August 2018.
A rare and incredible place hidden in the middle of PA! This place is great. Very well maintained, incredible decor, comfortable beds and bathrooms, and great TV service. The food was amazing, and the proprietor (who lives just offsite) was warm and engaging. We will definitely be back!
My family has been staying at the Aaronsburg Inn for years. We love the Inn, the hospitality, the food, and the local area. The proprietors are terrific - friendly, accommodating and efficient. The Inn is charming and comfortable without being fussy. Highly recommended. JM, Chevy Chase, MD
Jack once again was a gracious host for a PSU football weekend! The inn is spotless and breakfast is yummy. Numerous selections are available. Given the high cost of just average hotel rooms in State College for home football games, the Aaronsburg Inn is a bargain. Everyone should give this wonderful inn a try.
Excellent B&B close to Penn State University in College Park, PA. We stay with Jack and Jane when we visit our daughter at school and it is great to get away from the hustle and bustle of campus for a relaxing stay. The breakfast is incredible. Delicious every time with unique gourmet offerings cooked to order. We recommend Aaronsburg Inn for everyone.
Awesome place-the hospitality and caring attitude of the owner, Jack, makes this our "go-to" place when we visit the area. The breakfast menu is world class so be prepared to enjoy a memorable breakfast! We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in the valley.
Our host Jack was very, very friendly. Made you feel right at home. We stayed in room 7, which was the top floor - you instantly get the sense you are staying in a classic, Centre County, Penns Valley attic suite, with very very comfortable accommodations. Private bath was very clean and modern as one would expect. Recommend paring stay with a visit to the Elk Creek Cafe in Millheim for dinner during stay.
We stayed at the Aaronsburg Inn two weekends in a row, getting our son back and forth to Camp Woodward. The Inn is spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was excellent. We were very pleasantly surprised, and highly recommend it!
We arrived late but we were given easy directions for self check in. The guest kitchen fully stocked with snacks. BwUtiful library full of books. Tables to sit a relax. Our room ready and cosy.
My daughter and I stayed at The Aaronsburg the day before she was scheduled to attend Camp Woodward. Our flight was delayed so we were not able to check-in on schedule. Having said that, the owner was so nice and stayed up and let us check-in even then we did not get there until 10pm (we were scheduled to get there at 6pm). This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and it made a lasting positive impression on us both. I give The Aaronsburg Inn 5 stars because they did a great job and were very accommodating and the signature APPLE FRENCH TOAST WAS THE BESTS! A very cozy "family friendly" alternative to the hotel experience and one that I strongly suggest to anyone looking for a clean & accommodating place to stay. Thank you Jack and Jane Van Heyst you have an excellent place to stay and we were lucky to have found you for we will be back again!
The Aaronsburg Inn is a gem of a B&B. It is a beautifully restored farm house with large rooms and modern conveniences. It is not too far from State College and at the edge of several great Pennsylvania state parks. A growing Amish community adds a touch of Pennsylvania Dutch charm. The breakfast menu is fabulous. You just need to allow time for the hosts to prepare it because they make everything to order.
My husband & I and our three teenaged children stayed at the Inn to attend a wedding. The place couldn't have been better: beds were comfortable, the food was delicious and the attention was just right, social but not intrusive. We will look forward to staying again & recommend The Aaronsburg Inn to our friends.
Comfortable, quaint and relaxing. You'll feel at home, and pampered, in this circa 1800 B&B. You'll want to go back just for the breakfasts prepared by Innkeepers Jack & Jane (really terrific folks). --N. DiNubile, MD
My husband and I recently visited the Inn for one night and enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay. This inn is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Our room was very comfortable and cozy. We were given several choices for breakfast which were exceptional. We especially enjoyed talking with Jack and Pat who both made us feel very welcomed. Thank you both so much for an extremely relaxing and memorable weekend!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Aaronsburg Inn. Jack was a great host. The others guests we very friendly. It was nice to have multiple breakfast options cooked to order. The location was good. It was about a 20 minute drive to Beaver Stadium.
We have stayed here several times and the service, the cleanliness, and of course the breakfast always is spectacular. Only 30 mins from Penn State makes the location ideal. Highly recommend!
The building is beautiful, the decor retains the historic values of the Inn but with lovely modern touches. The room was very comfortable and well-furnished. And the breakfasts were amazing in terms of preparation, choice, and culinary sophistication. Pat, the assistant innkeeper, was in charge, and she did a marvelous job for our family gathering. I look forward to a return visit. Sybil Hedden
