  • 1/2 lb smoked sausage
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 slices French Bread/sliced 1/2 inch thick
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey mustard
  • 1 tablespoon onions chopped fine
  • 1/2 lb chedder cheese shredded
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • dash dill weed and paprika


  1. Cut sausage into small pieces. Lay french bread slices cut in chunks in bottom of 9x13 baking pan. Scatter sausage over bread.
  2. Beat eggs in large bowl, add milk, salt, pepper, honey mustard, dill and chopped onions.
  3. Pour egg mixture over bread and sausage. Sprinkle cheese over the top, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  4. In the morning, sprinkle with more dill and paprika to add color and bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes. Check to see that casserole is puffed up and serve. You can make this casserole and freeze it. When guest come thaw out the night before and enjoy.
